Digital Color Product Labels
ABLT produces digital product labels that last. Our on-demand digital color labels are designed for quick turnaround and print on a variety of surfaces.
ABLT’s unique 4-Color UV printer produces full-color process product labels with photo quality images. Its print-on-demand capability allows quick turnaround on any sized job, from quantities of 100-100,000, and can include serialized or database-driven variable information.
Digital printing eliminates setup, plate, and color separation costs. These digital product labels are especially great for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and food product applications.
Digital Color Product Label Applications Include:
- The need for many short run full color labels
- Process color labels that need consecutive or database driven numbering
- Specialty materials that will not run on a normal Indigo or Xeikon digital press
Common Materials Used for Digital Color Product Labels – Listed from least durable to most durable:
Paper Labels
While still offering a nice look, bright high-gloss or semi-gloss paper labels are normally the most inexpensive to produce. Paper labels are available in many types of adhesives, from permanent to removable. Popular uses include wine, case and craft labels, and give-away stickers.
Polypropylene or BOPP Labels
Polypropylene, or BOPP, labels are often used for light duty, prime label applications that may be subjected to liquids or mild cleaning chemicals. BOPP is also used on products that need additional tear-resistant strength that paper cannot provide. Uses include food, cosmetics, water bottle, skin and beauty products, and fruit and produce labeling.
Outdoor Vinyl Labels
Vinyl’s strong point is its outdoor weatherability. Vinyl can have an outdoor life of 5-7 years. Uses include signs, window labels, bumper stickers, and labels that need to bend around tight curves.
Durable Polyester Labels
Durable polyester can withstand high temperatures up to 350°F and is resistant to many solvents, oils, and cleaning products.
These labels are best suited for the automotive, aerospace, petroleum, and solar panel industries.
