Stickers exposed to outdoor elements should be made from vinyl or polyester (Mylar) as they are very common label components. A UV inhibitive lamination film should be used to protect the colors from fading.
Additionally, outdoor stickers should be made with acrylic adhesive as opposed to rubber based. Acrylic will better hold up to:
- UV rays and direct sun light
- Hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to moisture
- Exposure to many chemicals
Finally, if you are thinking of adding a nice colorful printed message to your outdoor sticker it is a good idea to cover the label with a clear UV inhibitive polyester laminate.
